The Messenger relays written and pictorial information between the dream world and the waking world, via a message tube housed in its interior that can accommodate several pages. The Messenger combines the idea of a dream journal and a carrier pigeon. There is also a piece of chalk in the trunk that can be used to inscribe associative coordinates on the underside of its wings.
